Our Story: Independence Day, 2020
On July 4th, 2020 — Independence Day — a group of District One residents made a decision. We wouldn't wait for someone else to solve our problems. We wouldn't ask for handouts. We would build our own future, together.
The symbolism wasn't lost on us. Just as our nation was founded on principles of freedom and self-determination, we founded the San Antonio Texas District One Resident Association (SATXD1RA) on the belief that strong communities are built by engaged, self-reliant citizens working together.

What started as a grassroots effort to unite fragmented communities across downtown, Midtown, and Pearl has grown into a pioneering force for digital innovation and civic engagement serving 137,000 residents.
